Protecting Our Community
International travelers can bring contagious diseases home to their communities.
Infectious diseases spread globally. International travel and commerce increase our community's risk of infection with organisms not currently circulating in the United States.
Travel vaccines and preventative medicines protect more than the international traveler. They also protect our community as they prevent the importation and spread of disease into our community. With proper immunization travelers returning are less likely to bring home contagious diseases.
